Ingredients
- 150g margarine
- 300g caster sugar
- 3 eggs
- 90g self-raising flour
- 30g cocoa
- 40g icing sugar
Method
- Preheat the oven to 150°C.
- Using an electric mixer, add add margarine and caster sugar. Whisk the two ingredients until the mix is creamy and smooth.
- Add the eggs to the mixture and continue to whisk on medium speed for a further 2 minutes.
- Add the remaining dry ingredients and mix well on a low speed.
- Line a square baking tray or dish with baking paper. Pour the brownie mix into the tray and bake for 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, dust with icing sugar before serving.
Top tip: Don’t bake at higher than 150°C – if the oven is too hot, the brownie will be hard and dry.
